The series “close subjects” explores the adding subjects into familiar liminal spaces. Inspired by liminal space aesthetics, as well as music from Misery Meat by Sodikken, Level 4 Abandoned Office by Iwakura, and others, and most importantly color, to add to the overall feeling of being uncomfortable. As liminal spaces are familiar, so are the faces made for the subjects. By experimenting with various textures and spaces the narrative of moving throughout the spaces with the subjects is portrayed. By stripping the subjects of their own personalities, you may see them as forms, simply there for the space.
